Child Portrait Photography: Happy Boy!

Well, I had the pleasure of taking some photos of a very fun little boy today!  He was having so much fun running around, climbing and exploring.  I don't think he even noticed how chilly it was!  His happiness was infectious as I am pretty sure I was smiling the whole time trying to keep up with him!  Ha,  it was a lot of fun!!  Thanks guys,  I enjoyed it  and I hope you had a happy birthday Kelli (mom)!!  Here a just a few of the pics from our session.........

Newborn Portrait Photography: Adorable!!!

This newborn is such a little peanut!!!  He is just the cutest thing ever.  He did not really enjoy being on his tummy and preferred to be all nice and cozy in his blanket so that's what we did to keep him happy.   What a wonderful new addition to a beautiful family!!!  Here are a few of my favorites........

Baby Portrait Photography: Twins!!!

I had a photo session the other day with four month old twins!!!  Oh boy, were these two cute!!!  A great looking family all around, quite frankly, and a lot of fun too!   This lucky couple was blessed with a boy and a girl, the best of both worlds!!  I loved how often these two cuddled together and held hands,  it was seriously the cutest thing EVER and totally giving me a case of baby fever!!!!  My husband better look out,  just sayin'!! :)  Alright,  I loved so many of these it was really hard to decide which ones to post but here are just a few for your viewing pleasure!!!  

Love this one,  isn't this momma gorgeous?!  And how cute is their doting dog, LOVE it!!!.

Tybee Island Vacation

This past weekend we went to a friend's wedding at Tybee Island.  We had such a great time and the wedding was beautiful!!  Here are a few pictures from our first day at the beach..........

Bridal Portraits: Counting Down the Days

I had an awesome weekend at a friend's wedding in Tybee Island which I will blog about in the coming days, but we headed back into town to get some bridal shots of this LOVELY bride to be!!  Her wedding is just around the corner and I am super excited for her, she will make a gorgeous bride!!! 

I had such a hard time deciding what pictures to post,  so here is just a taste........

Wedding Photography: Maria and David

It was a gorgeous day, the sun was shining, crisp gentle breezes blowing and LOVE in the air!!  I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful wedding this past weekend and had such a great time.  The ceremony took place at an absolutely beautiful church, St. Benedict Catholic Church, in Duluth, GA.  I am not Catholic so I'm not sure if this is typical of a Catholic church, but I loved the religious sculptures everywhere, artwork, stained glass, the architecture of the building and the way it was lit.  Such a beautiful church, for a beautiful wedding.  I pulled a few pictures to post from the wedding.  Here is bride looking breathtaking before the ceremony.............

Here are the crazy groomsman and the groom,  goofing off.  They were a lot of fun ;)!!  (One of them is my hubby!!)

Random"ness": Turf Wars

So, we put up a hummingbird feeder a few months ago.  I waited patiently for some hummingbirds to arrive.  It took about a day.  They were very shy at first.  A couple of weeks later I noticed them chasing each other through the yard.  "Oh look, they are playing!!" I said to my husband.  Turns out they weren't playing at all.  Hummingbirds are very territorial and they were fighting over our feeder!  I figured it was somewhat harmless and decided that I would just continue to believe in my head that they were playing.  I don't like confrontation. ;)

Well,  today it got down right nasty!!.  I can no longer pretend they are playing.  They were hanging around the feeder this morning, literally attacking each other!!  I was mortified,  and feeling somewhat responsible for this situation, I started tapping on the window, yelling,  "Stop that, Stop fighting!!!"  (I am RIDICULOUS really!)  At any rate,  they didn't pay ANY attention to me and kept fighting away, jabbing at each other with their long pointy beaks.  I ran and got my camera, but for fear of being impaled by a hummingbird beak I took these pictures from the safety of my kitchen, through the window.   Clearly, I am not a wildlife photog nor do I have the equipment to truly capture such an event, but you can get the gist.  Oddly enough, they still kind of look like they are playing in these.  I can assure you they were NOT and I have decided to go and buy another feeder to place in a different part of the yard so we can all coexist peacefully!  

Event Photography: 1st Birthday Party

This precious little man had a grand birthday celebration this past weekend.  Tons of family and friends attended and a great time was had by all.  What a lucky guy to have so much love surrounding him!!  He was somewhat unimpressed by me and my obnoxious camera in his face in the moments before everyone arrived, but boy did perk up when people started pouring through the door.  It was really cute,  he was having a ball!!  Happy Birthday buddy, it was a great party!!

Teen Portrait Photography: Natural Beauty

I had a great time doing this teen photo session!!  Not only did I get to meet and photograph a very sweet and naturally gorgeous teenager,  but I also got to hang out with her very cool mom and two precious huskies.  They also introduced me to a brand new park that I LOVED!  Good choice for sure!!  I loved so many of the photos we took that I had a difficult time deciding which ones to pick for the blog.  Here is just a sample........

Remembering 9/11

Amidst all of the divisiveness that comes with an election year, on this day, we come together. We all managed to push through the fear, anger, sadness and vulnerability and come out even stronger.  We remember the victims, their families, the police, firefighters and rescue workers.  Thank you for your bravery and strength!!

Photo of the Week: Dogs Rule

I came across this photo the other day and remembered how much I loved it!  I am a HUGE dog person. I love me some doggies, so I am always thrilled when clients want to include their pups in the pictures or any animal for that matter.  I think if I didn't have creativity running through my veins I would have been  a veterinarian.  Anywho,  I love this picture, it was just a great moment, a simple moment but sometimes those are the best.

Random"ness": Backyard Photo

We planted some new plants in our yard a while back and I am finding that I am so drawn to this one plant in particular.  I just love it.  I love all of the colors within it, the textures and how it appears to be dancing when the wind blows. Not to mention, I am trilled that my brown thumb hasn't killed it yet.   I literally stop and admire it every time I pass by it, so this morning I figured I'd take a picture of it to put on my computer as a background.  Here she is........
